Curbing Unnecessary Suffering

The Dalai Lama puts it very succinctly. He makes a wonderful point about spirituality being not about pleasing God or Buddha, but about cultivating inner peace. When we strive for peace within ourselves, then we are in alignment with God, Buddha, Tao, whatever you like to call it. He goes on to make another fantastic point about money. Understand that he is not saying one should not have money, but we must realize that it will not bring us inner peace or happiness. As with all things, acquiring money should be done with awareness and presence.

Wishing you compassion, peace, and love this Tuesday.
